The rolltop desk is an antique, about 100 years old. The sides swing out. I am told that this type of desk was designed for people involved in land acquisition work. Maps were often scrolls that would overflow the sides of the desk. The tables and bookshelves were custom made. The picture is a bit of a digital cheat. I did not have enough firepower to balance the indoor and outdoor lighting. The outside was washed out in the original photo. So, I moved outside on our front deck to take a photo in the same direction as the indoor picture. Then, through the magic of Corel PhotoPaint, I inserted the light-balanced version of the outdoors into the picture of the indoors.
