Faculty

The CWP faculty are a unique group of researchers in exploration seismology, each complementing the others in their areas of specialty. CWP faculty thrive on solving problems of practical interest to the exploration industry. Over the years, our research directions have expanded to reflect the talents of our faculty members and students, as well as to meet the needs and interests of our consortium sponsors. Our faculty members represent a variety of research interests.

In 2011-2012, they are: Professors Dave Hale (CWP director), Paul Sava, Roel Snieder and Ilya Tsvankin. University Emeritus Professors and former CWP directors Norm Bleistein and Ken Larner work closely with CWP. Follow this link to our faculty.

CWP students are supported by and/or work with the CWP consortium project. They are an international group with a large range of study and research interests. Students who join CWP are selected from a competitive field of applicants. They have demonstrated strong performance in undergraduate work, and on international graduate placement exams. They desire to do cutting-edge research.

CWP is proud of the men and women who obtain master of science or doctor of philosophy degrees under the Center's sponsorship.
