John Stockwell is a Research Associate with the Center for Wave Phenomena at the Colorado School of Mines . He is principal investigator of the CWP/SU: Seismic Un*x  open source seismic research and processing environment for Unix and Unix-like platforms. He is also co-author of the graduate level 
textbook Mathematics of Multidimensional Seismic Imaging and Inversion (MMSIMI).
